Business Rule Management Systems (BRMSs) have closed the gap between business teams and IT. BRMSs can now help business teams to clear out their business policies and business rules. Policy managers can also have clear communication that defines the requirements to implement the application system solution. Previously in the traditional information system, the business policies had to get hard coded into the system. If changes are needed, then the entire system gets rebooted. This is why a system is in need that will not affect anything else or slow down the process when implementing additional changes.
